The Vermont camp where quirky, neurodivergent kids thrive.
About Camp Akeela
Camp Akeela is a coed overnight camp on 400 wooded acres on Miller Pond in Thetford, Vermont, built for 'quirky' kids - many campers have ASD Level 1 (formerly Asperger's), ADHD, NVLD, or a similar neurodivergent profile. The program centers on social growth alongside classic camp life: arts, lake and pool aquatics, ropes course, non-competitive athletics, and a legendary Dungeons & Dragons scene. Campers are entering grades 3-10 (a Beyond Akeela program serves older teens), with about 120 campers per session and nearly 100 staff.
