Camp Akiba is one of the great names in Poconos camping - a beloved coed camp that first opened in 1926, closed for 27 years, and was brought back to life by the Robinson and Gordon families, welcoming campers again in summer 2026 on its 350 acres in Reeders, Pennsylvania, 90 minutes from New York City and Philadelphia. Campers in rising 2nd through 8th grade come for one six-week session of classic camp life - with cherished Akiba traditions like Friday night challah alongside fresh touches - in a nut-free facility that accommodates dietary needs.
