Camp Barney Medintz is the Marcus JCC of Atlanta's overnight camp, spread across 540 acres with two private lakes in the north Georgia mountains near Cleveland, Georgia. Founded in 1963, it is known for a warm, culturally Jewish atmosphere, a huge range of activities from waterskiing to horseback riding, and multigenerational loyalty among Atlanta-area families. Meals are served family-style from a kosher kitchen, and the Chalutzim program welcomes campers with developmental disabilities.
