Our twins summer home
Camp Chen-A-Wanda has been an incredible experience for our daughters, and we are so grateful to be part of the Chen-A-Wanda family. The directors are truly what make this camp so special. They are exceptionally nurturing, incredibly involved, and genuinely know and care about each camper. As parents of twins themselves, they have a unique understanding of the many situations families navigate and bring that empathy and perspective into the way they run camp. Communication with families is outstanding. Through daily blogs, Instagram Lives, and regular emails, parents feel connected to the magic of camp while still allowing children the independence and growth that summer camp provides. What stands out most about Chen-A-Wanda is the culture. While, like any camp, you may see some trendy items and popular “dupes” throughout the summer, the campers themselves are refreshingly down-to-earth and not focused on material things. The emphasis is on kindness, friendships, traditions, and community. Although there are countless activities and incredible programming, the true heart of Chen-A-Wanda is the relationships it builds. Campers are intentionally woven into the entire division, creating opportunities to make friendships beyond just their bunk. The sense of belonging and connection is something truly special. Our daughters return home more confident, happier, and with friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. Chen-A-Wanda is a place where children are known, loved, and encouraged to be their best selves.
