About Camp Kabeyun
Camp Kabeyun (sometimes spelled Kaybeyun) is a traditional boys sleepaway camp on 85 acres at the south end of Lake Winnipesaukee in Alton Bay, New Hampshire. Founded in 1924 and run by a nonprofit foundation since 1973, Kabeyun is known for its choice-based program: boys pick their own activities each morning and afternoon, from sailing and waterfront sports to woodworking, photography, and wilderness trips in the White Mountains. The camp emphasizes individual growth, self-reliance, and community living, with a notably high staff return rate and substantial need-based tuition assistance each summer.
