Welcome Home
When we pull up to Lenox, our kids say, “Welcome Home”.
I’m not sure if I can put my finger exactly on what Lenox does perfectly, but maybe it has something to do with the excellent people they choose to take care of our children all summer. The happiness and the kindness that the staff shows these kids is unmatched. The warmth is contagious and I can see how it makes the kids feel comfortable and loved.
I watch my son walk through camp and get hugs and high fives from the youngest boys to the oldest boys. Everyone knows each other and has pet names for each other. They play on twilight teams together. They cheer each other on from the side lines. They encourage each other in everything they do.
I love seeing my son participate in activities that I didn’t even know he was interested in. He spends all school year playing sports so it makes sense that at camp he wants to branch out and try different things. He spends as much time as he can in the magnificent lake, or learning survival skills in the woods or learning the ins and outs of pickleball and hockey… or experimenting with the ropes course.
That being said, every day it seems like he’s playing in a different tournament against camps all over the Berkshires! Football, basketball, baseball, swimming, soccer…
I do believe that what really sets Lenox apart from the rest is the people. I miss my kids every day but I know they are in the only place other than home that makes them feel safe, loved, comfortable and secure.

Love for Camp Lenox
I have two girls at Camp Lenox. They are both on their fifth summer! One is 11 and one is 13. We are a legacy family. My husband went as a child and so did his brothers and their children.
We love the camp because of the community it creates. This camp is like my girls’ second family and home. Their best friends are from camp. They grow up with their friends and counselors. (And the parents have a nice relationship as well).
The camp is smaller so everyone knows and looks out for one another. One of my girls isn’t that sporty and there is still plenty for her to do. They keep them busy with all kids of different activities. There is always something for them to look forward to. Evening parties and events are great!!
The camp is also very down to earth, which I love. Kids are less spoiled and have good values.
As the kids get older they also provide things more socially appropriate. And the big kids look after the little kids which creates such special bonds.
Girls look forward the their big trip and color war every year!

From Nervous First-Timers to a Camp Family for Life
My two children have attended Camp Lenox since 2021. My daughter recently aged out after 11th grade, and my son is still going strong. We are not Jewish, and neither my husband nor I went to sleepaway camp growing up, so we truly came in knowing nothing. From day one our kids felt completely welcome and included. As a first generation camp family, we were nervous and unsure if our kids would like it. However, Rich and Steph did everything to make us feel comfortable sending both our kids that summer. A counselor would call us every so often to tell us how the children were doing. We would see pictures of them almost every night and could see for ourselves how happy they were.
Camp opened them up to trying new sports (my son fell in love with soccer and my daughter with spinning), building strong relationships with children of different backgrounds and countries, and exploring new activities like cooking. I loved speaking with them almost every weekend and hearing how much they were loving camp. My kids came back each summer more responsible and independent, and most importantly, camp brought them closer together. They bond through their shared experiences there, and I know it's something they will carry for life.
Their favorite things about camp are: 1) Color War, the top event for them. They keep talking about it for weeks after they arrive home. 2) The big trip. My daughter had an amazing time in LA, and my son is going to Niagara Falls this summer. 3) Fourth of July is huge, with fireworks, tons of games, parties, and big birthday celebrations.
For us, Visiting Day is just perfect. Getting to spend the day with them at camp and seeing how much they enjoy it makes us proud parents. The spirit is something I have not seen anywhere else. The bunks are clean, well organized, and laid out with plenty of room for the kids to have all their things. The food is good. As a mom who prefers organic at home, it's not a perfect match for how we eat, but I understand that's not realistic for a camp, and am pleased with the well balanced and healthy kid-friendly meals the camp offers.
Lastly and most importantly, I trust the owners and counselors completely. When my son had an accident at camp and needed a hospital visit, the response told me everything: the camp doctor, a trauma surgeon and camp parent himself, was calm and transparent with us every step of the way, and the nurse and my son's counselor stayed with him at the hospital until we arrived. He was fine, but I will never forget how they handled it. The owners are also responsive when concerns are raised, addressing them immediately and directly, and they were understanding and flexible with us on payment when we needed it. I rest assured knowing my children could not be in a better place.
And the setting itself is absolutely beautiful, a waterfront location with numerous amenities to satisfy every taste. I am thankful to Steph and Rich for enriching my children's summers and helping them build long lasting memories and friendships.

My boys love Lenox!
I have two boys who go to Lenox and they LOVE it! Everything from competing against other camps and being the "first place camp" to going in the lake and just hanging out. This camp has something for everyone. It's the experience of a lifetime for my boys and I could not ask for a better place for them to spend the summer - doing exactly what they should be doing! Do not hesitate...Lenox is AMAZING.

Three Happy Campers
I have three kids at Lenox and they truly live ten months for two. They talk about Lenox almost daily. One of my kids loves it for the connections he makes with the counselors and staff, one the athletics and tournament opportunities and the third the friends and relationships she makes. There is truly something for everyone!

More Than a Camp—A Second Home
As parents, we can honestly say that Camp Lenox has been one of the greatest experiences our family has ever had.
Each summer, our children return home more confident, more independent, and with friendships that will last a lifetime. The growth we see in just a few weeks is incredible, and it's a testament to the caring environment the camp creates.
What truly sets Camp Lenox apart is its people. The counselors, staff, and leadership genuinely care about every camper and create a community where children feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to be their best.
We also love being able to follow along through the daily photos and updates. Seeing our children smiling, trying new activities, competing, performing, and making memories gave us complete peace of mind that they were exactly where they were meant to be.
Camp Lenox is about so much more than sports, arts, and fun. It teaches confidence, resilience, kindness, leadership, and independence—lessons that last long after the summer ends.
To everyone at Camp Lenox, thank you for creating such a special place. Your impact on our family has been immeasurable, and we are incredibly grateful.
We wholeheartedly recommend Camp Lenox to any family looking to give their children an unforgettable summer and an experience that will stay with them for a lifetime.

Life changing experience
I’ve been sending my 2 boys to Lenox for past 4 years. The camp has been a fantastic experience— the staff is first rate, there is a broad range of activities, and tremendous camp spirit. The boys continue to thrive at camp- the camp has enables them to “elect” to spend xx time each day on activities that interest them. I cannot express how wonderful experience has been for them— they have made great friends and look forward to it all year.

A parent’s dream!
After a rough experience elsewhere, we were nervous about trying a new camp. The team at Camp Lenox made the new camper experience like nothing I’ve ever seen. We attended a new camper event in NYC in April and met other kids from our area, went to another new camper event on-site right before camp started in June and had great conversations with the owners, boy’s/girl’s directors, counselors, sports staff etc in advance of the kids starting. The kids got the day to experience camp activities, see bunks, waterfront, dining hall, etc. Both children were excited to go and no tears were shed at bus drop off. We received calls within the first week with updates on how the kids were adjusting and it gave us tremendous relief. Both children had an absolute blast and have already begged to go back next summer for the full 7 weeks.
The kids provided the star rankings-if they could have given an overall ranking of 10 stars they would have!
Thank you to the Lenox team for taking such great care of our kids and giving them an experience they will never forget. See you next year.

Countdown til summer!
My kids are very different and they both adore camp lenox! There’s really something for everyone at lenox. Amazing sports facilities, super arts and crafts, all kinds of other fun stuff to do - there is never a dull moment! My kids have had a blast every summer and there was never any time for homesickness. The staff is also very kind and caring if a camper gets sick, they have great nurses and excellent communication with parents. The inter-camp sports and the gorgeous waterfront are great highlights. My kids have made friendships that will last forever, and I can’t them going anywhere else.

The best to Ever Do It !!
Families should know this camp is run and operating by the owners. Hands on. Few generations now. Boys and Girls. This is the real deal, in the Berkshires , and the staff is as good as it gets. If MA is acceptable an acceptable location for your child , look no further in my opinion.

My daughter’s favorite place on Earth!!
Camp Lenox gave my daughter, her best friends for life. Nestled in the foothills of the Berkshires, Camp Lenox is a camp with strong sport competitions, lots of spirit, and activities that meet all kids interests. Owned and run by two of the most dedicated camp directors I have ever met. Stephanie and Rich put their heart and soul into Camp Lenox each and every day. So grateful for the experience that my daughter had!

Down to Earth Camp
An amazing camp with down-to-earth campers and staff. I purposely chose this type of camp for both my children for this reason. As a Long Island mom, I wanted them to have a summer free of the typical "Long Island bubble." This is a place to make life-long friends. So happy my children had the opportunity to be part of the Lenox family!

Don’t think about it… Just send your child here!
Camp Lenox truly shaped my 23 year old daughter into the person she is today. As a first year camper, she attended another sleep away camp with her brother. When he decided he wanted a sports camp, we moved both of our children to Camp Lenox. She was NOT happy. She went kicking and screaming. By visiting day, she loved it and went on to become a lifer! She cried when she was done with camp and continued her journey as a counselor for three summers. She still returns every summer to visit even though she now has a real job. The friends she made are still her best friends today and the life skills she learned at Lenox have shaped her into who she is. If you are thinking about sending your child to Lenox - don’t think - just do it!
