About Camp Poyntelle

Camp Poyntelle is a traditional Jewish overnight camp in Poyntelle, Pennsylvania, in Wayne County's northern Poconos, welcoming coed campers ages 6–16 since 1947. Operated under Commonpoint Queens, the camp sits on a 70-acre private lake with a full waterfront, sports, creative arts, and technology programming, woven together with values-driven Jewish community and ruach. Families choose from full-summer (7-week), 4-week, 3-week, and 2-week mini sessions, with a Pioneer Adventure intro weekend for future campers.

Spectacular lake front camp with variety of facilities

I worked as a counselor at the camp in 2005 and my kids have attended Camp Poyntelle for the past 3 years. Great variety of facilities and activities, a camp that truly offers something for everyone and nurtures each child. My son is very sporty and loves the waterfront! My daughter is into crafting, dance, gymnastics and the pool. Both kids love Camp Poyntelle where they can follow their different interests. Fab day and over night trips including camping and special Shabbat programming. Nurturing staff, lovely kind and warm, inclusive ethos. Great choice if you want to know your kids are having fun, well cared for and enjoying all the rich activities camp offers in a laid back and friendly setting!
