Camps Equinunk (for boys) and Blue Ridge (for girls) are brother-sister camps in Equinunk, Pennsylvania, about two and a half hours from New York and Philadelphia. Founded in 1920 and family owned and operated for over 35 years, the two connected campuses span 400+ acres of fields and wooded trails around a 50-acre private spring-fed lake. Boys and girls run their own daily activities and meals, then come together for weekly coed evening activities and special events - with extra visiting time for siblings. Tradition runs deep here: campers and staff wear camp uniforms, most leadership staff have been at camp for 20+ years, and many counselors grew up as Equinunk and Blue Ridge campers. Families come from 15 states for the full summer (June 27 - August 14), with bus transportation from the New York and Philadelphia areas and chaperoned flights from South Florida.

Blue Ridge is steeped in tradition. The bunks were fine, the food was mid but the spirit, comraderie and incredible friendships both my daughters built over the 10 years they went there was unforgettable. Their bunkmates are lifelong friends and their experience was beyond compare

If you’re looking for the perfect summer camp, Camp Blue Ridge is it. The energy here is infectious, and the culture instantly makes it your child’s second home. One of the best parts is their blue-and-grey uniform tradition. In today's world of social media, giving girls a summer free from labels and the pressure to always look their best is a priceless gift. Because it’s an all-girls environment, it strips away the trends and levels the playing field. They still get the fun of brother-sister socials, but day-to-day, they get to just focus on being girls and building deep-rooted connections. While my daughter is now in her 20s, her friendships with her bunkmates are stronger than ever. Between the warm staff and deep traditions, CBR offers a truly authentic camp experience.

I wouldn't be the person I am today without Blue Ridge. In 2012 I met my sisters and the most important people in my life and I can proudly say they are still my people to this day. The energy and spirit is felt in everything the camp does. Between the counselors and the facilities there is no other place I would've rather grown up each summer. THE PLACE TO BE!!
