Island Lake is an amazing camp. it changed my son’s life (after being at another camp where he was bullied and teased). Being at ILC has grown his confidence and helped him become the amazing young man he is. It is his favorite place to be. He cries when the summer is over. Monica and Odie understand kids so well and create an environment with enough structure but also enough freedom for kids to explore and develop.

I was a camper at Island Lake for 5 summers. I really enjoyed it, until I aged out. Made great lifelong friends, and still keep in touch with many of them to this day. We did however, have issues with the old camp ownership -- the former director wasn't a great people person (which is important when you run a summer camp) -- but I understand they're under new ownership now. Would send my children there, and would reccomend.
