Founded in 1902, Surprise Lake Camp in Cold Spring, New York, is the nation's longest-running Jewish sleepaway camp. This nonprofit coed camp serves campers in grades K-10 with swimming, boating, hiking, arts, and joyful, inclusive Jewish life featuring kosher food and Shabbat celebrations. A sliding fee scale keeps tuition affordable, with half-summer and full-summer sessions plus short intro programs for first-timers.
