About URJ Camp Eisner

URJ Camp Eisner is a coed Jewish overnight camp of the Union for Reform Judaism in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, in the Berkshires. Since 1958, campers entering grades 2–10 have filled its summers with sports, arts, adventure, swimming, and joyful Reform Jewish living: song sessions, Shabbat, and Israeli culture woven through camp life. Sessions range from a short intro for the youngest campers through 4-week and full-summer options, and its sister camp, URJ Crane Lake Camp, is just minutes away in West Stockbridge.

Truly a second home for all kids

Eisner Camp lives its mission: to create an inclusive, caring community for everyone who drives past the gates. From day one, everyone knew who my kids were. Their directors go above and beyond getting to know my family and kids before camp even started. Eisner definitely has the same bells and whistles as plenty of other camps but still feels like camp at its core and has a ton of historic and beautiful buildings from the original estate. The kids and staff are down to earth, and the program options are versatile. From high ropes, to pottery, a recording studio, a ninja course, biking, arts and crafts, and more, Eisner has it all. They have a robust art and sports programs. The elective option lets my kids choose what they like, but since they still travel as a unit from period to period, it also lets them meet kids outside their bunks. I love the buddy program pairing the oldest and youngest campers. My kids count down every day to camp and truly live 10 for 2. Camp accepts everyone for who they are, and it's amazing to see all sorts of different kids come together for the love and Jewish community Eisner creates.
